Hello! 
My name is Shirley Barton Dietz, daughter of Willie Latane!

Growing up, I always considered myself a ‘daddy's girl’, Mom and I were never really close.  About 17 years ago my parents moved next door, and my father was soon diagnosed with Alzheimer's. My life, AND my role changed.  After dad died, I continued to spend time with my mother, and we have grown very close. I am blessed to have her close by (even if she has moved into a new place a few miles further down the road) We laugh at the silliest things, enjoying life, and exploring new things together.  I am married, run a bake shop, have three wonderful children, and three grandsons. Life is busy, and it is wonderful!

My name is Willie Latane Barton.

I'm a southern girl for sure, who loves good food and an equally good adventure. And, I love spending time with my daughter, Shirley, who is the co-author of this blog. We have some fine times together and decided we would love to share our 'going out to lunch' with all of you. I have 4 children. I love to try new things, read, listen to classical music, spend time with my family. I love finding pleasure out of the smallest things, a bird on wing, a flower opening with brilliant color, a baby's smile. I just love life.
